1. Has this apprentice been open to your feedback and willing to focus on areas that require further practice?
Yes. Louise is humble and despite her decades of work with children, her intuitive attunement to their needs, and her absolutely solid grasp of CGS principles and materials, she is always looking for critique and improvement.
2. Do you have concerns about this person that may affect her/his ability to continue in formation as a CGSAC formation facilitator?
No.
3. Which skills and/or presentations have you identified and communicated to the apprentice to focus on in the next level one course she/he co-facilitates?
We have talked about the need to ensure she gives space to children to read the signs with fewer helps from her in the initial presentation. We have also talked about strategies to help keep focused and essential in background reflections.
4. What would you suggest be covered in a FF workshop or FF course that would give this apprentice greater knowledge and confidence to facilitate a level one course?
Scheduling principles and time management strategies within a course to try to meet Rebekah’s ideals as presented last year - most of instruction in the morning, how to manage and balance practicum, materials-making and album writing with it, etc. I learned and adjusted a lot based on what Rebekah spoke about at the last Gathering and I feel like we could all benefit from more of that.

Do you feel this apprentice is ready to begin stage two of the apprenticeship period?
i.e. is capable of carrying half the workload of the formation team

Louise has incredible gifts in her decades of observation of children, both inside and outside of atrium contexts. She has a habit of noticing what is going on for children which is deeply embedded and natural to her, and she is very gifted at valuing the contributions and experiences of others. She is also superb in the area of materials making. We have worked together on courses for years, and the only significant missing link is to get her album pages better “completed” (as much as they ever are).
